Ebdaa IFC has a fully owned subsidiary named Ebdaa Islamic Finance Consultancy Ltd being a limited liability company under the registration number 1000906560 having its registered address at 3080 Yonge Street, Suite 6060, Toronto, Ontario, M4N 3N1 Canada (Ebdaa IFC (Canada)) (both Ebdaa IFC (UK) and Ebdaa IFC (Canada) shall jointly be referred as Ebdaa IFC in this Legal Policy).

In relation to Ebdaa IFC practices which are corporate bodies, whether limited liability companies incorporated in the United Kingdom or other corporate bodies, we use the word "partner" on this website and generally to refer to a member of the limited liability company or a shareholder or director of the other corporate body, or in either case, an employee or consultant with equivalent standing and qualifications. Confirmation as to the member/shareholder/director status of a partner practicing through a corporate body can be provided upon request.

Ebdaa IFC is committed to the highest ethical and professional standards. These standards apply to all our people, regardless of role, and to all our offices. Ebdaa IFC staff are required to act professionally and in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards. These standards include:

Ebdaa IFC has a zero-tolerance policy towards bribery and corruption. We are committed to:

  1. Conducting business in a manner that complies with applicable laws and is consistent with the highest ethical standards, including preventing bribery and corruption.

  1. Using our best endeavors to ensure that those who perform services for and on behalf of Ebdaa IFC—including employees, contractors, and agents—are aware of and share our commitment to ethical conduct.

The company is subject to the UK Bribery Act 2010 and other relevant laws, and has adopted an Anti-Corruption Policy endorsed by senior management. This policy is based on an assessment of external and internal bribery risks and reflects the standards expected of those acting on our behalf.

Ebdaa IFC will not use third parties or intermediaries to engage in unethical practices prohibited by applicable laws. We expect all third parties and intermediaries engaged by us to conduct themselves accordingly. We are committed to transparency in our ethical standards and anti-bribery initiatives, and have established procedures for reporting policy violations.

Ebdaa IFC takes data privacy seriously. We adopt a private policy based on our interpretation of the EU data protection principles. For more information, see our Privacy Policy.  

  1. Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Statement

We conduct client due diligence and ongoing monitoring based on the FATF Recommendations and the EU Fifth Money Laundering Directive. Additional information required by local rules will also be obtained. Relevant information from third-party data suppliers may be sought, and personal data will only be used for AML purposes and retained as required by law.

We are committed to report suspicions of money laundering to appropriate authorities.

In line with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, Ebdaa IFC supports and respects internationally recognized human rights, consistent with our commitment to the UN Global Compact.

Ebdaa IFC opposes all forms of slavery and human trafficking, and is committed to preventing these practices in our business and supply chains.
